SISE has been honored with 2 National Teaching Achievement Awards with second prize, 7National Teaching Achievement Awards with the first and second prize, 1 Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Award with second prize, and 2 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award with third prizes.2 courses are honored with the National Excellent Resource Sharing Courses. In recent five years, SISE has undertaken almost 30 higher education teaching reform projects with and above the provincial level, and Textbook of National 12th five-year Plan.Two courses were awarded national excellent resource sharing courses. The college has been listed as the first batch of applied talents training pilot demonstration colleges in Zhejiang Province.

In recent years, the college has taken charge of over 60 scientific research projectsin the National and Provincial level includingKey Projects of Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of National NaturalScience Funds for Distinguished Young People, and main projects of provincial funds. The research achievements of the college include:the 2nd prize of Zhejiang Natural Science Award, 3rd prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Zhejiang Province, andthe 3rd prize of Party and Government Cryptography Science and Technology Progress Award.The faculty of the college have publishedhundreds of papers in the SCI journal and international conferences. Its engineering Discipline ESI index is 1.097, ranking near Top 1% in ESI Global List.
